LENT BEGINS ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6TH WITH ASH WEDNESDAY
Over the past few years we have looked at different formats for our Wednesday evening Lenten services. This Lenten season following Ash Wednesday, beginning on Wednesday, March 13th, our Lenten services will be downstairs in the fellowship hall. Worship will be proceeded by a meal together beginning at 5:30, with worship beginning at 6:30. The worship will be informal, and intended for all generations to participate together and have fun in worship. This is a continuation of our Cross Gen focus.
But in addition, we have gotten very positive feedback in the past on the use of Holden Evening Prayer in Lenten worship. Therefore, we have decided that our Ash Wednesday service will be up in the worship space, and we will use Holden Evening Prayer on Ash Wednesday. In addition, our Maundy Thursday worship on April 18th will also be up the worship space, and also use Holden Evening Prayer.

Worship at Eleva Lutheran
Our worship service begins at 9 a.m. each Sunday throughout the year.
Each Sunday has its own style of worship.
On First Sundays we have a traditional communion service. Our choir, Partners in Praise, shares a special music anthem.
On Second Sundays our worship is informal and without communion. We use a more contemporary sung liturgy. Music is led by our praise band, New Sounds. Currently our Sunday School children also share special music on Second Sundays.
On Third Sundays we have a traditional service without communion. Once again our choir, Partners is Praise, shares a choir anthem.
On Fourth Sundays we have a simple spoken service with communion. Music is led by our other praise band, The Messengers.
On Fifth Sundays we also use a simple spoken service, but without communion. Music is more often older Gospel songs.
We have multiple styles of worship to reach out to as many worshipers as possible.
We hope and trust that you will find a favorite worship style among the variety.
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
